I took my first paid film and photo jobs in 2019, while I was still studying electrical engineering at Taipei Tech. School films, music videos and campus events came first; trade shows and brand campaigns came later.
Engineering pulled me toward AI at the same time. My undergraduate project graded mangoes with deep learning, I did AI research as an intern at Accton, and my master's thesis was on video frame interpolation, with a winter semester of Visual Computing at TU Wien along the way.
Today I do both. I shoot as a partner photographer at HUH Studio and work as the AI engineer for two production companies in Taipei, where I build Film-Studio-Kit, the system we use to plan and generate AI imagery for commercial work. I want to keep working where photography and AI meet.
